Yesterday, officers seized 11 e-scooters and 9 illegal/modified e-bikes from Leicester City Centre during #OpPedalfast. Two arrests were made and a stop and search was conducted. The message is clear: ✅ Only safe and legal walking and wheeling is tolerated in our city. 🧭 Patrol Update
PC Tom patrolled Town Hall Square and surrounding roads. After visiting a local bike shop, he found a group sitting on the war memorial with litter around them. 🗑️ He retrieved a bin bag from the bike park and asked the group to help clean up, which they did. After being told about the significance of the memorial, they moved to a more appropriate seating area. 📄 Harassment Investigation
PC Katie received a report of harassment and worked with local authority partners to identify the suspect. A crime report was created and an arrest was made. Bail conditions have now been imposed on the suspect, safeguarding the victim. 🛡️ |
